Boomers Stick with Single Family Homes

According to a recent survey conducted by ERA Real Estate, 64% of men and women aged 50 and over identify the single family home as their preferred residence of choice.

• Only 18% of the 1000 surveyed, would purchase a condo or town house.
• Only a scant 2% would choose an adult community.
• 21% were considering a move in the next five years.
• 71% said it was important to be near their family.
• 15% said they owned a second home or vacation home.
